28. Premium Processing

The Citizenship & Immigration Services Office has started a new procedure which allows for expedited processing of some visa applications. Recently, the processing times for visa applications could take several months or longer. Under the premium processing rules, a E, L, or H visa application can be expedited if the alien applies under the premium processing rules. If the alien pays an additional fee of $1,000, then his visa application can be expedited. Generally an expedited visa application will be adjudicated in 15 days.
